Even typing that feels significant.

For more than thirty years, I have supported other people, cheered them on, helped them build, helped them believe, and made sure their names were seen.

I have created companies, programs, publications, events, homes, conversations, and entire worlds for other people to enter.

But the younger version of me would never have been bold enough to create a magazine called Laura Marie.

My name across the top.
My photograph on the cover.
My life inside its pages.

She would have worried that it was too much. Too self-focused. Too presumptuous. Too “look at me.”

But this is not vanity.

It is permission.

Permission to say:

Look at what I made.
Look at what I survived.
Look at what I love.
Look at the life I am finally allowing myself to occupy.
